6. How have you tried to effect change in relation to an issue of personal, local, or national significance?


Around the world, and in our communities kids are struggling academically. In my community I have volunteered in becoming a tutor for middle school students. I volunteered for three years, and also became more active in helping with the middle school, and their summer programs. Yes, I am just one person, but i am doing something, to create change. It all starts with one person, believing in themselves to make a difference in the world, even if its the smallest things.
